Tired of Simple Stipple?
I just found a wonderful new blog by Leah Day called 365 Days of Free Motion Quilting. She is posting a different free motion quilting design each day for a year. So far, each design features a video in which she shows how to do the design on your machine. It's definitely worth checking out!

Nine Patch Tutorial
At the last meeting Diana did a demonstration on how to make nine patch blocks from two squares. If you missed it, or would like more detailed instructions, the Moda Bakeshop site is featuring a really nice tutorial on making nine patch blocks using charm packs or layer cakes. Check it out here.
You can make these nine patches with any size squares just as long as they are cut to a size that is evenly divisible by three. More directions for this technique are here.
