An Interesting Find

I was cleaning out some dresser drawers the other day and I came across a CD marked simply "Quilts." Here's what I found on it:

These were the mystery quilts from 2007, displayed at the Edwardsville Quilt Show. My husband was the photographer that day, so I'm not sure if we got a picture of everyone's entry.

As you can see, every single quilt is totally unique! It's fascinating to see which part of the design is emphasized depending on the values of the fabrics that each quilter used.

And, of course, at this point I'm not sure who made what.

Let me know which one is yours, and I'll add a credit for it. It would also be interesting to know the story of your quilt and where it is now.

I know some people made them as gifts. Did some get donated for charity?

Mine is the one below. I finished hand quilting it with whole DAYS to spare before the show. Later that winter I gave it to my niece for her daughter Libby. (I can't quite bring myself to call her my great niece. Why does great aunt sound so much older than grandmother?) My niece has it hung on the wall next to Libby's bed.

The pattern is called Pineapple Blossom from Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville website. The pattern is available here. It was fun to see the pattern emerge as all the strip sets were sewn together. The only hard part was keeping track of which way the blossoms were supposed to spin.
